We believe church presentation software should respect your privacy. All your songs, media, and service plans remain strictly on your computer.

1. Offline-First Architecture & Your Data

Slides for Worship is engineered as an offline-first desktop application. Your presentation files, service orders, song collections, lyrics, scripture passages, and uploaded media are stored locally on your own computer. We do not inspect, upload, synchronize, or transmit your private presentation content or ministry data to our servers.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect the minimal information necessary to deliver software updates and license Slides for Worship Pro:

  • Account & Purchase Details: When you purchase a subscription or license, our Merchant of Record (Paddle) provides us with your name, email address, transaction identifier, country, and subscription status so we can verify your Pro access. We never receive, store, or process your credit card numbers or raw payment credentials.
  • Connected Hymnal Accounts: If you link third-party accounts (such as Hymns for Worship or RJ Stevens Music) within the desktop app, your login tokens and purchased hymn identifiers remain stored in local application preferences solely to unlock your purchased sheet music and lyrics.
  • License Validation & Diagnostics: When you activate your license key or subscriber email, or when the desktop app checks for updates, our server logs standard HTTP headers (IP address, app version, request timestamp) for security, rate-limiting, and error diagnostics.

3. Merchant of Record (Paddle)

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"). Paddle manages customer billing, checkout security, currency conversions, and global sales tax remittance. Paddle operates as an independent data controller for transaction data. 4. How We Use Information

We use the limited information collected to:

  • Verify, activate, and manage your Slides for Worship Pro license.
  • Provide access to the self-service Customer Portal for billing and subscription management.
  • Deliver customer support and diagnose technical issues.
  • Send critical software update notices and security advisories.

We do not sell, rent, monetize, or share your personal data with third-party advertisers or data brokers.

5. Data Retention & Security

We retain customer records only for as long as your subscription is active or as necessary to comply with accounting, tax, and legal obligations. We utilize modern encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all network communication and restrict administrative server access.
