Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Slides for Worship (the "Software") or the website at slidesforworship.app (the "Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Software on behalf of a church, congregation, or ministry organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. License Grant & Software Tiers

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and run the Software on compatible computers:

• Free Tier: Allows unlimited local service order planning, slide drafting, song importing, and personal preview usage at no cost.
• Pro Subscription / Lifetime License: Unlocks live external multi-window presentation modes, dual display projection, native PowerPoint (.pptx) and PDF exports, and local Wi-Fi stage remotes. Pro features require an active Paddle subscription or valid lifetime license key.

3. Merchant of Record, Billing & Subscriptions (Paddle)

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"). Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles customer billing inquiries and returns.

• Subscription Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing interval unless canceled prior to the renewal date.
• Free Trial: New Pro subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. If canceled before the end of the trial period, your payment method will not be charged.
• Self-Service Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time with zero hassle via our self-service Customer Portal or the link in your Paddle billing receipt. When canceled, you retain Pro access through the end of the current paid billing cycle.

4. Presentation Content & Copyright Responsibilities

You retain full ownership of all presentation files, text, lyrics, images, and videos you create or display using Slides for Worship. You are solely responsible for ensuring that all lyrics, hymns, Bible translations, audio, and media projected using the Software comply with applicable copyright laws and church licensing requirements (such as CCLI, OneLicense, or public domain status).

5. Acceptable Use & Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software or attempt to circumvent license validation controls.
• Resell, rent, lease, sublicense, or redistribute license keys or software copies without our express written permission.
• Use the Software in any manner that violates local, national, or international copyright or intellectual property laws.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Slides for Worship is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every possible hardware display configuration. While we engineer the software for rock-solid church worship stability, users are encouraged to test their multi-monitor hardware before live services.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Slides for Worship, its creators, or Paddle be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use the Software.
